Nigeria: Coalition of Political Parties Refute TMG Report

Sokoto — Coalition of Political Parties in Sokoto State has refuted media reports of the Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) in the last Saturday's election in the state, describing the report as baseless, saying that the election was free and fair, TMG had alleged electoral fraud in the election.

Speaking in Sokoto, the chairman and state's chairman of Sokoto PRP, Alhaji Sani Muhammad, who spoke on behalf of other political parties, disputed that the election was characterised by under aged voting, adding that staff of the electoral body had observed all the rules and regulations establishing election, remarking that there was no interference by the state government.
