Nairobi — Apart from a few scattered incidents of protests and muggings, a sense of normalcy was evident in Kisumu on Tuesday.
The clouds of smoke from burning tyres and tear gas, commonplace in the town, were conspicuously absent. Traders within the central business district opened their doors and residents flocked in to replenish their food stocks.
