Mozambique: Japanese Funds for Community Projects

Maputo — The Japanese government on Wednesday made available 172,000 US dollars for community development projects in Mozambique, in the areas of education, water supply and sanitation.

The grant contract for this sum was signed by Japanese ambassador Tatsuya miki, and the representatives of two non-governmental organizations, Elizabeth Sequeira, the executive director of the Progresso Association, and Peter Mers, the representative in Mozambique of the Swiss organisation Helvetas.
