Uganda: Employers Want Seat On NSSF Board

Kampala — THE absence of employers' and workers' representatives on the NSSF board is denying them an opportunity to participate in making decisions affecting their funds, the chairman of the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) has said.

"The absence of a comprehensive national social security policy has paved way for different government bodies and private sector players to come up with pension and health schemes that are not well-integrated and coordinated," Eng. Martin Kasekende said at a New Year cocktail party for FUE members at Hotel Africana in Kampala recently.
