Harare — Killing her newborn baby was seen by a Highfield woman as the best way of saving her six-month marriage.
The 21-year-old mother has been arrested on a murder charge after she allegedly suffocated the baby, stashed the body in a plastic bag and threw it under her bed when husband had gone to the shops. The couple had argued over the pregnancy after the husband had suggested that it was more advanced than he expected.
