Kampala

EXPRESS FC coach Jimmy Muguwa has vowed to weed out lazy players on his team as the Red Eagles prepares for the first leg of the Confederations Cup match with Inter Club of Burundi.

Swalley Kenyi reports that Muguwa was yesterday speaking at a press conference at Nakivubo stadium where the team launched a campaign to realise at least sh10m in gate collections.

Muguwa said he is targeting a semi-final place in the continental event.

The coach said that he was determined to retain only those who work hard to achieve his goal.

"I will only look at those (players) who give adequate effort. If you have experienced players who don't help you much, you go with those who put in effort," Muguwa said.

Team manager Mohammed Kateregga said they are targeting a minimum of sh10m.
