Harare — ARTHUR Tutani - who carved a reputation as a Division One football specialist - has been appointed the head coach of Zifa Eastern Region side Air Zimbabwe Jets.
The nomadic coach was relieved of his duties at Mwana Africa a fortnight ago but has now found a new base in the capital.
Tutani was given a three-year contract at the national airline team, who are seeking promotion into the top-flight league.
Jets completed last season's campaign in third place after being beaten to the title by Kiglon.
The club decided to fire coach Stanford "Stix" Mtizwa - ending a three-year marriage between the two parties.
Now the challenge has been handed to Tutani.
A Division One specialist, Tutani has guided Mwana Africa, Monomotapa and the now-defunct Sporting Lions into the Premiership.
He will be hoping to wave his magic at Jets.
Tutani started training the club this week ahead of the new season. He conceded that he faces a big challenge on his return to the capital.
"There is a big challenge to fight for promotion as only one team will be promoted and there are strong teams like Highway, Eagles, Triangle and Gutu Leopards who are also eyeing the championship.
"But I am used to Division One football and it's not a big mountain to climb," said Tutani.
Highway - who finished second last season - should start as favourites this year after engaging the services of coaches Lloyd Mutasa and Callisto Pasuwa.
But Eagles are also a dark horse and their performance in the 1-0 win over Dynamos in a friendly at Rudhaka two weeks ago was simply sensational.
