Cape Town — Diamond production in Angola last year reached 9,7 carats, representing revenues estimated at USD 1.27 million, ANGOP learnt from a source of the National Diamond Company of Angola (ENDIAMA).
According to information obtained by ANGOP at the 13th International Mining Investment Conference (INDABA 2008), which ends this Thursday in Cape Town, South Africa, the annual industrial production was of 8,6 million carats, whilst the artisan production reached 1,1 million carats.
