As part of the TPLF regime's continued acts of hostility, incursion and mine planting against Eritrea's sovereignty and territorial integrity directly or through terrorists, two passengers were killed and a number of others injured when a public bus was destroyed in mine planted by terrorists sponsored by the regime along the Shilalo-Barentu road.

The bus with Code Number 3- 16257 was carrying 60 passengers when the mine explosion occurred around Girat Maria, 5 km. away from Shilalo. One of the passengers, Luchia Kassa, was killed immediately in the incident, while another one, the mother of three children, died after reaching hospital.

Moreover, 6 people were seriously injured and a number of others, including children and elderly persons sustained minor injuries as a result of the terrorist act.

It is to be recalled that a time bomb planted by the TPLF regime-sponsored terrorists exploded at a business site in Tessenei town last week causing death and damage to life and property.
