Ti'o Fish Processing Plant has begun operation, according to the technical manager, Eng. Woldemariam Tsegai. The plant includes electric power generator, fish storage and ice production factory.

He further indicated that the ice production factory has a capacity of producing about 100 quintals of ice within 24 hours, while the fish storage facility could accommodate 24 tones of fish at a given time.

Noting that the plant is equipped with 70 small and medium boats that carry out fishing activities three times a week, Eng. Woldemariam stated that the quality of the fish is up to standard.
