BURUNDI giants Inter Stars who are Express' opponents in the Confederation Cup are due in Kampala tomorrow. The teams will meet in a first round first leg tie at Nakivubo on Friday.

But the Red Eagles will be without senior player Francis Gonzaga sacked after a disagreement with his bosses.

Gonzaga is the second star to be shown the door after former international Hassan Mubiru.

Mubiru, sacked over the weekend, and Gonzaga are on a 25-man list Express submitted to Africa's soccer governing body CAF for the continental event.

Club secretary Kavuma Kabenge confirmed that Gonzaga was sacked after he demanded money beyond what the club could afford.

"We could not pay him that money and no other club will do that," Kabenge explained.

"Paying players for what they have not worked for is the old style of administration, so we let them go."

The club manager Mohamoud Kateregga said that Gonzaga had requested for sh8m to organise his father's funeral.
