Nigeria: 2face, Friends On Tour

Lagos — The Nigerian music landscape is about to experience a revolution with the unveiling of the new sound of music from the stables of MTN. Starting from Saturday, February 16, the nation's entertainment landscape would be set ablaze as the MTN Xtracool music phenomenon births across six major cities in Nigeria.

The concert, built around the theme: 'Sound of Love', is being facilitated by Nigeria's leading telecommunications giant MTN Nigeria through its youth segment brand MTN Xtra Cool.

The concert which is tagged: MTN Xtra Cool Tour With 2-Face & Friends is being jointly activated by MTN Xtracool , Dojoes Entertainment and multiple awards winning music star 2face Idibia.

According to MTN's youth segment manager Ayokunle Adesina, MTN is merely living to the brand promise of its Xtra Cool brand which is to make the Xtra Cool package a whole loaded bundle of value and entertainment. 'We are into this partnership to deliver on one of the elements of the music proposition of the MTNXtra Cool brand which was launched last year.. We will be using the platform to celebrate one of Nigeria's and Africa's greatest musical export 2Face Idibia and to create tangible music experiences for youths pan Nigeria .

Nigerians, apart from having access to live concerts, would also have access to music download on phone and PC. In addition, subscribers will be able to relive exciting moments of the various organized concerts via download of short video clips of the tour on the MTN Loaded Portal. 2face would also be releasing an exclusive song accessible on the MTN Loaded portal Adesina explained.

Speaking on the concert, Mr. Femi Ogundipe, CEO of Dojoes Entertainment, described the project as a groundbreaking partnership between his company and MTN.

Tuface Idibia will be leading an array of Nigerian and international artists on a Six- city tour spreading a message of love and unity across the country. The Show will kick off on February 16, in Abuja. It moves on to Kaduna on the 20th , Enugu on the 27th Benin on the 1st of march , , Ibadan on the 5th and finally in Lagos on the 8th of March 2008.
