A Tanzanian boxer, Hussein Chiwa, is expected to fight a Malawian Moses Mahilasi, in a non-title eight round under card Super Welterweight bout at Diamond Jubilee Hall on March 1.

The Chiwa/Mahilasi bout will be preceded by six other non-title bouts, according to the event's coordinator, Sadick Kinyogoli.

Kinyogoli said the Malawian boxer is expected to arrive in

the country on February 27, two days ahead of the contest. Matalasi will be accompanied by his trainer.

Kinyogoli noted that the contesting boxers are expected to weigh-in just a day before the bout that has been organised by Sadick and Company Tanzania Limited in collaboration with Sass Marketing Group.

Kinyogoli pointed out that the Tanzanian boxer is now gearing up for the bout under tutelage of Mohamed Mbadembade.

"Although the bout is under card, we rank it on international status," said Kinyogoli.

The other supporting bouts will see Hassan Matumla and Francis Cheka fight in the Universal Boxing Organisation (UBO) middle weight intercontinental vacant title.

While Matumla is being trained by family members, Morogoro-based Cheka's trainer was not immediately named.

Francis Matthew and Anthony Mathias will be fighting in bantam weight contest. Mkwanda Matumla will defend his Light-Welterweight title against Malick Kinyogoli in a ten round Pugilistic Syndicate of Tanzania (PST) sanctioned bout.

Kalama Nyilawila is paired against Francis Suba in middleweight non title bout, while Dotto Kipenga will meet Abdallah Mohamed in the light welterweight non title fight.
