Gaborone — Kwaito artiste Odirile Vee Sento has launched bottled mineral water, MA.VEE.TA.

This is a departure from the path taken by many artistes , who have gone into the clothing industry.

Vee, together with his partner Pascal Kwaramba have formed a company named River Square and their product is already available in most supermarkets.

The award winning Kwaito Kwasa artist said the launch of the bottled water marks his growth.

"Health is our concern too and we encourage artistes and our fans to drink MA.VEE.TA," he said.

He said the name MA.VEE.TA, is derived from his stage name and also the Tsotsi Taal, word mavita, meaning water.

In an interview Kwaramba said the water is bottled by Chemical Industries Botswana.

It is currently available in 500ml bottle

He said so far there has been a tremendous response from retailers.

Kwaramba said they bottled 5 000 for promotion only: "We want to ensure that the bottle reaches every household in few months."

Kwaramba said the water is affordable and ranges between P3 and P3.50.

Currently, he said they have three employees and were likely to employ more people as the business grows. BOPA
