Eritrea: Nationals Residing in Sweden Extend Assistance Worth 2.4 Million Nakfa to Electricity Corporation

Eritrean nationals residing in Sweden has extended 10,000 electric accessories worth about 2.4 million Nakfa in assistance to the Eritrean Electricity Corporation.

Indicating that the initiative is in continuation of their active participation in the on-going national development drive, the nationals asserted that such assistance would continue in the future. They also expressed appreciation to Swedish institutions that made due contribution in raising the fund.

Commending the Eritrean government's vigorous efforts to provide electricity supply in remote areas of the country, the nationals pledged to back up the rural electrification program.

The head of the Electricity Corporation, Eng. Abraham Woldemichael, pointed out that the gesture is in continuation of the previous assistance of the nationals and expressed thanks for the active participation they are playing in endeavors to promote reliable electricity supply in the country.

It is to be noted that the Eritrean citizens living in Sweden extended different electricity materials worth about 5 million Nakfa in assistance to the nation. They also donated two water pampers along with complete pipelines to the Ministry of Agriculture.
