In a statement faxed to The Daily Monitor on Wednesday, the ministry said it had conducted a pilot project covering the Federal Supreme Court and in six regional states' Supreme Courts to determine feasibility.

The technology would enable members of the public to litigate their cases, bring documents and make the necessary relation with the court through the Internet via e-mail rather than going to the Court, the ministry said the statement written in Amharic language.

It said the service which is a result of Information Technology (IT) advancement, worldwide would not only make court procedures more easy and transparent.

It will enable the courts to provide international services, thereby facilitating international trade and generally contributing towards improved investment relations, as well.

After a due examination on the pilot projects, necessary adjustments and inputs would be added and the procedure would be in use in some selected courts.
