A man armed with pistol has shot dead two men in Guri-el district in Galgadud region central Somalia overnight commissioner said.

The two killed men were shot dead as they were buying a fuel in the neighborhood the commissioner of Guri-el district Ali Sheikh told Shabelle radio.

Its up till now unidentified the grounds behind the murder of the two men by the armed man although the district's authorities have started an investigation on this incident.

The situation of the district is reportedly tranquil following that unpleasant incident occurred in the district.
