Bujumbura — After the press conference of the ruling party, the Frodebu parliamentarian group has issued a statement to show its dissatisfaction. Hon Claver Nahimana who signed the statement says his group is dissatisfied with the words of the leader of the ruling party who said that security has improved since the accession of the CNDD-FDD to the power.
The Frodebu parliamentarian group says that government would rather put an end to the selective killings that target members of the opposition parties. This group also demands Burundians to stay calm, but to help their neighbours in case of an attack.
Currently, only the ruling party says that security has improved. Local human rights organisations and the media have a different view. These organisations reject the comparison of the ruling which always compares the current situation with the wartime.
Recently, the United Nations placed Burundi in Phase Three following the degradation of security in the whole country implying a setback.
