Mendefera

The Minister of Justice, Ms. Fawzia Hashim, commended the outgoing members of the Southern region community magistrate for the significant contribution and dedication they made in discharging their duties.

She made the remarks in a meeting on February 13, in Mendefera, with department heads, sub-zone administrators and PFDJ heads in the region.

Noting the importance of replacing community magistrates who have served for a long period with new ones, the Minister pointed out that the election of new members of community magistrates would be conducted next March. She explained that the Ministry would continue to exert increased efforts in raising public awareness regarding the administration of justice, upgrading the skills of law professionals and addressing the loopholes encountered last year, among others. To this end, Ms. Fawzia indicated that the Ministry of Justice is providing training to 200 staff members.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Administrator of the region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhussien, called on the people to elect dynamic and dedicated individuals.
