Bujumbura

In the framework of the African Champions League, the local champion, Vital'O will meet a Cameroonian team, Coton Sport de Garoua. Vital'O is confident that it will win the match which is slated for 16 February 2008.

The Burundian Football Federation has solved all problems Vital'O was faced with.

It is not the first time that Vital'O meets a Cameroonian team. People still remember the historic match between Vital'O and Tonnerre de Yaoundé which was immortalised in books of the primary schools. At that time, Vital'O won over Tonnerre de Yaoundé.

The lack of means continues to cripple the Burundian football. In the recent cup of the CECAFA in Dar es Salaam, Burundi sent a few players who played in very bad conditions as the Tanzanian weather impacted negatively on their health and performance of the Burundian.
