The Ministry of Capacity Building yesterday announced government plans to entirely overhaul all governmental and private organizations' systems.

"From this time on wards no patience to caring backward work procedures in any of the country's institutions. Every ministry will be reformed", Minister Tefera Waluwa told a press gathering at his office yesterday.

Speaking of the future direction of the ministry, he said it focuses on civil service reengineering programme, reforming the bureaucracy around justice, information communication capacity building programme and suppressing good governance in rural woredas.

The minister said some selected organizations have been begun to implement the strategy, incredible changes are obtained.

"For instance Ministry of Transport and communications, Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affair and Ministry of Health are the prioritized ones" Accordingly, Ministry of Revenue and Ministry of Finance & Economic Development are undergoing implementation of the reform. Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation and Commercial and Development Bank are included in the efforts.

Four regions of better capacity like Oromiya, Amhara, Tigray and SNNRP were under pipe line. The rest developing regions are at the phase of study, the minister added.
