19 February 2008

Monrovia — Liberia's peace promoter, Crusaders for Peace in collaboration with the Ministry of Information will tomorrow launch a musical CD in honor of U.S. President George W. Bush.

President Bush is expected in Liberia Thursday for a one-day visit as part of his five-nation African tour.

President Bush's visit is the first of an American President since 1978.

The musical CD entitled: "George Bush Welcome" is part of preparation to honor and give President Bush a red-carpet welcome in Liberia for his enormous contributions in helping to restore peace to war-ravaged Liberia.

According to a release, the CD will be launched by the Information Minister, Dr. Laurence Bropleh while Mrs. Meg Reggs of the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia will serve as co-launcher.

The launching ceremony is expected to take place on the grounds of the Executive Pavilion on Broad Street.

Meanwhile, a musical jamboree involving several Liberian musical stars is expected to begin this morning in Monrovia.
