Keren

The Keren-Geleb road, constructed a couple of years ago at a cost of 70 million Nakfa, is playing a major role in developing and regrouping adjacent villages, according to Mr. Tesfalem Bahta, Administrator of the Geleb sub-zone.

He said that the road, besides promoting social services in the villages that were previously scattered, is making due contribution in enhancing the active participation of the local inhabitants in the national development drive.

Mr. Tesfalem further indicated that new villages alongside the road are flourishing and that different social services such as education, health and infrastructure facilities have already been put in place. He also called on other scattered villages and citizens still leading a pastoral way of life to regroup in villages and benefit from social services.
