Five additional classrooms have been constructed at the Kebesa-Chiwa Elementary and Junior school, at a cost of over 465,000 Nakfa, in a bid to alleviate the shortage of classrooms. The sum was covered jointly by the Aget government garage and the inhabitants of the locality.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the branch head of the Ministry of Education in the Central region, Mr. Girmai Gebrehiwet, commended the government garage and the local inhabitants for taking the initiative and called on the latter to make good use of the new facilities.

The school, established in 1970, provides educational opportunities to students from the villages of Abardae, Kitmewlie, Misgad, Adi-Raesi, Adi-Hamushte, Lagieto, Adebneger and Adebakuakot.
