About 4,500 youth, mainly women, are to benefit from a four-year programme in soap making, tie and dye making and bee keeping under the rural enterprise project and Business Advisory Center in Asunafo North District.

Mr. Stephen Afreh, District Rural Enterprise project officer, said this at the close of a 10-day capacity building workshop in soap making for 30 women at Akrodie.

He said the project intended to equip existing micro and small scale enterprises with basic business management skills such as keeping of cash and sales books, purchase book and stock recording.

Alhaji Ishak Abubakar Bonsu, District Chief Executive, said the rural enterprise project was aimed at reducing poverty and creating wealth among the youth through the provision of self-employment.
