Cameroon Protestant College, CPC Bali, is the winner of the 8th edition of late Hon. Gabriel Bambod Sikod football trophy after beating Unity College Bali 1-0.

The finals crowned week-long activities that marked the 42nd anniversary of the National Youth Day on February 11 at the Government school field, Ntanko'o Bali-Nyongha.

The trophy carried the sum of FCFA 500,000 financed by Sikod's widow Elizabeth Sikod aimed at encouraging sports among the youths in Bali Subdivision. Presiding over the occasion, the Divisional Officer for Bali, Daniel Ngembane Ekolle, appreciated the gesture of the cup donor and called on other Bali indigenes to emulate Mrs. Sikod's example.

For her part, Mrs. Sikod said apart from promoting football, she wanted to keep fresh memories of her late husband. "My late husband loved sports and was a great supporter of football also. Our children and myself will keep this spirit moving," she said.
