Late Brigadier General Solomon Giwa who passed away in a ghastly motor accident last week Monday would be laid to rest at his home town in Sabongidda Ora, Edo State on Saturday 1st March 2008.
Announcing the burial arrangement yesterday in Abuja, the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Luka Yusuf on behalf of the Army, said the arrangement has been approved by his family.
According to the burial arrangement made available to Vanguard by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Yerima , the arrangement are as follows.
Thursday 28th February 2008 funeral mass at his residence CT4 Lobito Crescent Stallion Estate Wuse 2, Abuja. Time 1800hrs (6pm); Friday 29th February 2008, body leaves National Hospital Abuja to Holy Trinity Catholic Church Maitama, Abuja for requiem mass. Time: 0730hrs (7:30am)
Body leaves for his home town Sabongidda Ora, Edo state after church service. Time: 0900hrs (9am); lying in state at his residence, Sabongidda-Ora time: 1900hrs (7PM);
Saturday1 march 2008, Funeral service at St John Anglican Church Sabongidda Ora; Time: 100hrs (10am). Interment follows immediately after funeral service.
The Chief of Army, however, requested that all well wishers to converge at the National hospital Abja for a motorcade ride to the church at Maitama for the requiem mass.

"Those who wish to go to Sabongidda-Ora for the burial are requested to join the vehicles from the Church at Maitama. You are requested to disseminate this all important information to the general public", he said.
