Southern Africa: WTO Meeting Debates Free Trade in SADC Region

Luanda — The World Trade Organization (WTO) will debate on 28-29 February, in Lesotho, matters related with free trade and its strengthening in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states.

For the effect, the Angolan Commerce minister, Joaquim Ekuma Muafumua, travelled this Wednesday morning to Lesotho.

In an interview to ANGOP at International "4 de Fevereiro" Airport, Joaquim Ekuma Muafumua informed that during the event will be discussed matters related with agriculture and economic partnership that are being developed in the commerce sector.

He said that for the meeting Angola takes matters connected to the supply of goods and services, as well as economic partnership with other countries in the region.

The World Trade Organization (WTO)'s last meeting happened in Brussels, last year.

The minister is due back home on Saturday.
