Luanda — A ministerial delegation led by the Planning officeholder, Ana Dias Lourenço, left the Angolan capital (Luanda) this Wednesday for Lusaka, Zambia, to attend, on Thursday and Friday, the meeting of the council of ministers of the Southern African Development Community.
The meeting will analyse the organisation's budget for this year and the preparation of the International Consultative Conference on Poverty and Development.
Participants will also discuss about the preparing of the tripartite summit between the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the Eastern African Community and SADC, to happen this year in Mauritius.
Lusaka, Zambian capital, is hosting since last Saturday the SADC experts meeting, which precedes the meeting of the organisation's council of ministers.
Among other officials, the Angolan delegation comprises of the minister of Industry, Joaquim David, and the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, George Chicoty.
SADC is a regional organisation made up of Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mauritius, Namibia and Madagascar.
