Eritrea: Over 220 Female Members of 19th Round NSP Graduate in Tourism

Over 220 female members of the 19th round National Service Program graduated yesterday upon completion of a year-long course in tourism. The course was jointly organized by the Sawa National Vocational Training Center and the Tourism Training Center.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony at Cinema Odeon here in the capital, the head of human resource development and training in the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Tekle Frezgi, expressed appreciation to service-rendering institutions for enabling the trainees acquire experience.

A representative of the graduates on her part asserted that they would fulfill what is required of them in the national development drive, especially in promoting the development of tourism.

The Minister of Tourism, Ms. Amna Nurhussein, and the head of tourism service department, Mr. Mohammed Idris, handed out prizes and certificates to students who demonstrated excellence in the course.

Also speaking on the occasion, the director general of technical and vocational training in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Tesfai Sium, indicated that the graduating batch are among those who graduated in different fields from the Sawa National Vocational Training Center in 2007. He further stressed the Ministry of Tourism's endeavors to develop the sector.
