THE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, is in Lusaka, Zambia, to attend a Sadc council of ministers' meeting.

The two-day meeting, which opened yesterday, will discuss the regional grouping's budget for the 2008/09 financial year, review the implementation of its 2007/08 decisions, assess progress in the on-going negotiation of an Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union.

The meeting would also discuss a communication strategy and plan of action to promote better understanding, ownership, buy-in and wider publicity of the proposed Sadc Free Trade Area.
