Kampala — IT was all excitement at the home of Amiru Wamala in Mukono yesterday, when Daily Monitor broke the news that he had emerged the best Science student at Kibuli Secondary School.
He got four As throughout in all the principal subjects and a Distinction 1 in General Paper.
Wamala attributed his success to God he said, "I thank God but I didn't expect to be the best science student in Kibuli, because I performed badly in my mocks" But due to bad performance in mocks, my parents and teachers encouraged me to work hard and I think this helped me to pass well," Wamala said.
His guardian Mr Ibrahim Matovu, the headmaster of the same school has been paying his school fees since his childhood.
He said he was proud because he has not disappointed his guardian "I am very proud because I have not disappointed him," he said.
Wamala wants to study Pharmacy at the university since he had put more efforts since O level. He studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, at Kibuli. Wamala is currently doing a part time job in his sister's Restaurant in Mukono.
