Nigeria: FCDA to Test Uncompleted Buildings

Lagos — THE Department of Development Control, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), has begun the process of getting the record of such buildings and their owners.

Addressing journalists in Abuja weekend, the Director, Development Control, Alhaji Yahaya Yusuf who noted that the move was geared towards ensuring that the foundations of such structures were still strong enough to carry the houses, said the office had already compiled a list of 400 buildings that have been abandoned at various levels of completion by their owners.
