United States based Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain, Grams Bolaji Osborne has called on the National Assembly to stand firm on the issue of the ratification of the signed agreement in the US by the last administration concerning Bakassi.

His words " the entire National-Assembly must stand firm on what - ever the 1999 Constitution says and for the Nigerian public not to allow itself to be misguided into a "fever for going to war" over the issue of Bakassi with Cameron.

He continued: "I am using this time to Warn the French government to steer clear out of the Eastern part of Nigeria, and it's Problems . The French Government haa been attempting to gain interest in the Nigerian oil-Fields before our Independence of the 1960's; and also since the last civil-war in Nigeria and now-Bakassi " he said.

Quoting what he called highly classified CIA reports, Osborne said most international Heads of State do not have knowledge -especially in Nigeria; that the French government are responsible in part, for the current problem now going on in the Chad-Republic-in it's attempt to Destabilize Nigeria and it's neighbors in the East.

"We should put all the Western Powers that witnessed the signing of the aforesaid Treaty, that they are witness to a Treaty that does not conform to the international guidelines for the signing and ratifications of treaties among democratic recognized nations which they are part and body of; before Requiring it's implementation(s) in Nigeria." He stated

He contended that the world court and the United Nations does recognise the fact that a world court Order does not foreclose on negotiations between two or more nations involved over territorial-disputes even if any World Court order adverse to one country is in Place.

On a different note, Osborne took a swipe at the Speaker of the House of Representative, Dimeji Bankole over his recent remarks that the House would take a fail decision on whether to Remove the immunity clause or not at the end of the trial of the former governors who allegedly enriched themselves while in office.

"What Hon. Bankole needs to realize is the fundamental Principle behind the need for him and the entire House members not to forget their responsibility towards reforming a sound public-policy and it's administration, especially when it comes to corruption and the looting of public funds by those governors who are now on trial or in the past, was on trial." He stated in an online message to THISDAY.

He reasoned that it is more dangerous to allow any indicted corrupt officials to remain in office and allow them to continue to misappropriate public funds under the cover of immunity clause, than to proceed under administrative and judicial due process.
