Asmara — The Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW), Ms. Leul Gebreab, pointed out that Eritrean women residing in different parts of the world are making vital contributions in the implementation of the Union's programs.
She indicated that Eritrean women abroad have been and still are playing a significant role in the construction of women training centers in different parts of the country to provide various training aimed at enabling fellow women nationals to become self-supporting. The centers already built in Barentu, Senafe, Adi-Keih, Tessenei, Keren, Dekemhare, Serejeka and Asmara through their initiatives attest to this fact, Ms. Leul added.
She further explained that NUEW will increase endeavors towards promoting women's participation in education, reducing mothers' mortality rate during delivery and improving women's standard of living.
