Uganda: Police Out of Sight

Kampala — POLICE FC continued their march to the Super League title with a 2-1 win over Boroboro yesterday that put them a solid 12 points clear.

Sam Timbe's Police have now accumulated 50 points, 12 clear of second-placed Villa, who face Maji today.

Muzamil Nanik capitalised on a goal-mouth melee to put the champions-in-waiting ahead with in two minutes, before Abraham Nega struck a rebound as Boroboro went into half time with a two-goal mountain to climb.

Francis Olanya pulled one back for the Lira-based soccer side early in the second half but an equaliser failed to come.

Police coach Sam Timbe was visibly happy with the Namboole stadium result although, in his usual style, he refused to give anything to the press.
