A number of youth groups have appealed to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to include the young people in her administration by appointing a youth advisor to the president.
Speaking through their chairman, Mr. Kelvin Fallah, the consortium of youths said that with the appointment of a youth advisor to the president, the young people's voice would be heard in national governance. In an exclusive interview with the INQUIRER, Mr. Fallah expressed that if the president's office gets a youth advisor, then the President would know at first hand the plight of the young people.
He said this would also make young people to feel a part of the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf led government that has been working to strengthen Liberia's image abroad.
Mr. Fallah said President Sirleaf, a mother should see wisdom in appointing a youth advisor as this would bring to the heart of the nation's youths her willingness to work not only in the interest of adults but in their interest as well.
He called on the over 30 consortium of youth groups he heads to be law abiding, and support the administration of President Sirleaf as she strives to bring Liberia among the comity of nations.
Mr. Fallah said the youths have a common concern with the President which includes the provision of health, education and good life for Liberian people including its youthful population.
