Tessenei

Sagim Junior and Secondary School in the Tessenei sub-zone has secured, in a donation, a bus that would serve to transport students from the administrative areas of Aligidir, Setimo and Telatasher. The bus, with the capacity of transporting 45 people, was donated by Ms. Meriyem Yasin, an Eritrean national who lives in Scotland; she disbursed over 200,000 Nakfa to purchase the bus.

During the handing ceremony, Ms. Meriyem said that the initiative she took arose out of the desire to back up the on-going efforts to nurture dynamic youth. Ms. Meriyem also contributed 150,000 Nakfa for the development of the school's premises.

Sagim Junior and Secondary School, established in 1958, is currently providing educational opportunities to more than 2,000 students.
