The International Narcotic Control Board (INCB), an affiliated body of the United Nations has revealed that Nigeria is still a major transit point for stockpiling and repackaging of illicit and hard drugs.
INCB in its 2007 report presented in Abuja by the country representative of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Ms. Dagmar Thomas also ranked the country as the highest producer of cannabis (Marijuana) in Africa closely followed by South Africa , Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania .
