Monrovia, Liberia - The Second Draft of Liberia's Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) is now available for review on the Executive Mansion site (www.emansion.gov.lr) as well as the Ministry of Finance website (http://www.mofliberia.org/).

PRC Core Team Chairperson, Minister of Finance Dr. Antoinette Sayeh, has offered appreciation to members of Government, the private sector, civil society, donor organizations, and citizens from each of Liberia's 15 political subdivisions for their contributions to the first and second drafts. "It represents a substantial amount of time, effort, and energy by a large number of people. We are very grateful indeed for all of these contributions," noted Minister Sayeh.

The purpose of the Second Draft is to give all interested persons an opportunity to review the proposed national development plan for Liberia that will span the next three years (from April 2008 through June 2011).

On Monday, March 10, 2008, at Monrovia City Hall, the Stakeholders' Consultative Committee (SCC), which launched the PRS process in August 2007, will reconvene to vet the 2nd and most recent draft before finalization. It is expected that a cross-section of stakeholders will converge on City Hall next Monday, including members of civil society, members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, donors, and private sector representatives.
