Monrovia — The Cavalla Rubber Corporation (CRC) in Maryland County is expected to embark on rehabilitation of major highways in the County.
The Administrative Manager of CRC, Matthew Jaye said the cost of the road rehabilitation project is US$1.5 million.
He disclosed that the Karloken-Pleebo and Pleebo-Harper highways which leads to the Ivorian-Liberian bordor are among highways to be reconditioned.
Mr. Jaye said equipment for the road project were already in Maryland, and noted that rehabilitation of major roads in the county was necessary because, according to him, residents were faced with difficulties due to deplorable roads condition.
Maryland County Development Superintendent Ophelia Draper who also spoke to our correspondent recently lauded the efforts of Cavalla Rubber Corporation.
She expressed the hope that CRC would do more for the people of Maryland County, adding that road rehabilitation in their area would bring relief to them.
