Eritrean youth living in different Australian cities conducted workshop from February 29 to March 1, during which they reiterated their readiness to live up to the nation's expectations.

The head of Eritrean Youth Association in Melbourne, Feruz Futsum, indicated that members of the Association are strengthening their organization and called on the Eritrean youth in Australia to enhance their contribution in the national development drive.

Similarly, the head of Eritrean Youth Association in Brisbane, Selam Kahsai, and the head of the Association in Sydney, Robel Kiflemariam, reaffirmed that the members are ready to meet any eventuality through strengthening their ranks.

The participants of the workshop exchanged views on different topics, including the need to strengthen youth organizations, the role of youths in festivals and their participation in national affairs. They further stressed the need for holding similar events.

The Eritrean Ambassador to Australia and New-Zealand, Dr. Andeab Gebremeskel, gave briefings to the participants on the objective situation of the Homeland and the region, in general, as well as the Eritrean-Ethiopian border issue and its developments, in particular. He also called on the Eritrean youth abroad to avail themselves of educational opportunities and strengthen their organization, thus making due contribution to national development programs.
