Asmara — The Orotta Post-graduate School is offering courses in pediatrics and surgery to 12 youth, according to Dr. Haile Mezgebe, Medical Director of the School.
Noting that the opening of the school on January 2 this year is a continuation of the Orotta School of Medicine, he said that it would lay a solid groundwork for nurturing competent health experts.
Pointing out that the post-graduate school has plans to extend additional courses next year, Dr. Haile pointed out that 30 to 50 professional doctors would attend courses in a number of fields, including pre- and post-natal care, pediatrics, obstetrics and kidney treatment, among others. He further indicated that 4 American and 10 Eritrean pediatrics medical professionals are providing instruction in the School.
The Orotta Post-graduate School was opened through the collaboration of the Eritrean Ministry of Health, George Washington University and "Physicians for Peace."
