Kampala — A WORKSHOP on challenges faced by information and communications technology (ICT) managers is to take place on March 14. The workshop will specifically focus on enterprise settings.
The workshop is organised by Africa Leo, an ICT company. Experts like Fred Dungu from the US, who works with the IT Department of Budweiser, a world renown alcoholic beverage firm, will be among the speakers.
The technical manager of AFSAT Communications, Godfrey Sserwamukoko, and the managing director of Digital Options and systems directorate of Makerere University, Robert Ssebunya, will also present papers.
Timothy Katende, the managing director Africa Leo, said the topics to be discussed include network performance, bandwidth sizing and storage management.
"All papers that will be presented are on subjects requested by members who attended the previous workshop. We encourage all IT managers to attend because of the broad array of subjects the workshop is going to tackle."
He said all other people involved in IT in the corporate world, non-governmental organisations and private people were welcome.
The workshop is sponsored by uganda telecom. Each participant will pay sh135,000.
