The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa in Kwara State has rusticated 63 students for engaging in examination malpractice, as it cleared 2,150 others to partake in the Batch 'A' of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme coming up soon.

Speaking to newsmen, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Ladi Badmus said that the expulsion was to serve as deterrent to other students, adding that the institution's authorities were leaving no stone unturned to rid the institution of bad elements and academic unfits.

He urged the already-cleared students to be good ambassadors of the polytechnic as well as attach seriousness to the NYSC assignment and charged them to put into practice the sense of good relationship garnered over the years during their studentship in order to live in peace and harmony with their various host communities.

While wishing them a hitch-free service year, he advised them to abide strictly by the rules and regulations of the NYSC in order to earn them credit at the end.
