President Yahya Jammeh has fired his newly appointed Agriculture Minister Kanja B.A.S Sanneh, with immediate effect, the Freedom Newspaper, your leading source of news, can authoritatively report.

Mr. Sanneh who was living in the US State of Kansas, until his Ministerial appointment last year, has been shown the exist door, by President Jammeh. In a terse statement, the Government said the President acting on powers conferred on him by the constitution, has terminated the services of the erstwhile Agriculture Minister Kanja Sanneh. No reason was advanced for Sanneh's abrupt removal.

Mr. Sanneh who was working at an elderly home in Kansas, until his return to Banjul, has joined the list of oversea Gambian returnees, such as Dr. Scattered Janneh, Malafi Jarju and co.

Some part of Sanneh's family are residing in Kansas. Like, many immigrants, Sanneh too had his own story to tell. He left the US, out of frustration.

Having spent about two decades in the US, Sanneh thought that the best way to serve his country was to join the Jammeh Government. Serving his country, has today landed him into a sea of disgrace. He was rendered speechless, when the news of his inevitable sack was communicated to him, through a letter signed by the relevant authorities.

Kanaja Sanneh was introduced to the President by the erstwhile Tourism Minister Sussan Waffa Ogoo. Using her influence and closeness to the President, Sussan secured him a Ministerial job.

Sanneh was hired for a purpose. He was rewarded for promoting the doctrines of the APRC in Kansas. He was the APRC strongman in Kansas. He actively played a crucial role, in welcoming Sussan, each time she visits Kansas.

Shortly after he was hired, Sanneh claimed to have bagged the following qualifications. " B. Sc - Agriculture / Rural Sociology, University of Missouri - Columbia, 1982 Diploma - Community Development, University of Missouri -Columbia, 1980 Certificate - City & County Planning, University of Missouri -Columbia, 1980

MA - Sociology, Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, 1993 MPH - Public Health, University of Kansas, Kansas City, Kansas 1999 M. Sc - Agriculture technology, Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, 2005" The said information was obtained from this link: www.statehouse.gm

Thanks to Mr. Sanneh, President Jammeh was awarded Man of the Year by Journalist Suwaibou Conateh. He is a long time childhood friend of Conateh.
