Nigeria: FG Cannot Serve Criminal Summons On Pfizer- Lawyer

The Federal Government yesterday told an Abuja Federal High Court that it cannot serve pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer, with notices to appear before the court to answer charges that they conducted illegal drug tests in the country in 1996.

The Federal Government is instituting criminal charges against the multinational company for allegedly testing harmful meningitis drugs on Nigerian children in Kano without following set guidelines for such exercise.
