The National Assembly of São Tome e Principe will meet this Tuesday, in an extraordinary session, to welcome the Angolan Parliament Speaker, Roberto de Almeida, who is visiting the archipelago since Monday.

Roberto de Almeida, who expected to deliver a speech at this parliamentary session, is visiting São Tomé e Príncipe at the invitation of his local counterpart, Francisco da Silva. After this gathering, the Angolan official will hold work meetings with Francisco da Silva, as well as with the São Tomean National Assembly's first specialised commission and the Angola/São Tome friendship parliamentary group. On Wednesday, Roberto de Almeida will be received in audience by the São Tomean Head of State, Fradique de Menezes, the Prime Minister and by the leader of the main opposition party.

The programme of the Angolan National Assembly Speaker includes visits to some tourism sites. Roberto de Almeida's work visit ends on Friday with the signing of a joint declaration.
