Francistown — Last weekend, Elliot International, a well-known removals company, donated football equipment comprising training bibs and balls to White Diamonds Sporting Club of Orapa.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, an official of the company, Collen Tamu, said the gesture was part of the company's contribution to Vision 2016 aspirations and promised that it was only the beginning of good things not only for White Diamonds but for the nation at large as the company intends to contribute in anyway it can to the development of the country.
For his part, White Diamonds General Secretary Kgosietsile Chippa Makula thanked Elliot International for responding to the club's plea for help.
"This is a morale booster for us and it will encourage us to work hard to improve the club's fortunes and make Elliot proud of their contribution to the club," Makula said.
White Diamonds are currently log leaders of the Boteti Regional Football Association league and have dreams of plying their trade in the First Division North next season as they continue their journey to join the big boys in the Premier League.
