Prince Harry and Zimbabwean girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, are believed to be in Botswana for a romantic safari in the Okavango Delta.
The United Kingdom daily newspaper, The Sun, reports that the couple left for their favourite African hotspot on Wednesday last week, five days after Harry returned from the lawless Helmand Province in Afghanistan.
"The couple have hired a two-story wooden house boat on the stunning Okavango Delta, which is famous for its abundant wildlife and crocodile-infested waters," an exclusive report by Louise Ford, states.
Harry and Davy visited the same spot last year in August. The report further states that the couple has been joined by some of Davy's friends.
A royal source, according to the same report, confirmed the reports. "Harry is in love with Africa and he thought a break in Botswana with Davy was the perfect way to recuperate," the source stated. The Botswana Police Services in Maun say they are not aware of the Prince's presence in the Delta.
Hotels around Maun say the Prince and his entourage have not made any bookings there.
However, some reports from the northwest say it was evident that an important person was in the area given the busy movement of the security forces in the swamps.
The British High Commissioner in Gaborone was not available for comment yesterday.
